Saudi Charge d'Affaires in Lebanon Counselor Waleed bin Abdullah Bukhari opened in Beirut today the second Saudi Lebanese cultural forum under the theme "Lebanon is our shared home". He said the gathering is a continuation of the vision of late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on the importance of dialogue among followers of religions and cultures. Addressing the meeting, the Secretary General of Muslim World League Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkareem Al-Isa said the presence of representatives of different religious sects in Lebanon is of great significance as Islam is the religion of tolerance and moderation. For his part, the Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue Faisal bin Muammar said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, was and still supporting what serves the Arab and Islamic nations and the entire world to consolidate the principles of peace and co-existence. He disclosed that it took more than seven years before establishing a constant center for dialogue, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures, in 2012. The Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Abdullatif Daryan said in a speech before the conferees that the meeting is held amid critical circumstances in the middle east.
