The 2nd International Scientific Symposium on the Initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for dialogue among followers of religions and civilizations started in Jakarta today. The Symposium was organized by the Islamic University in Madinah and hosted by the International Islamic University in Indonesia. The Symposium was attended by Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Secretary General of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar, and Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia Mustafa Ibrahim Al-Mubarak. Addressing the symposium, Bin Muammar said that the symposium aims to shed light on this historic initiative, which in the modern era, consolidates the call for coexistence among all individuals, societies and peoples and leads to building bridges of understanding and cooperation among followers of divine religions, as well as strengthening human brotherhood and mutual respect. It is noteworthy that King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue was inaugurated in Vienna, Austria in October, 2011.
