Unknown gunmen on Saturday killed five women and one man in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan, an official said. According to dpa, the women were employees at the Kandahar international airport and "were on their way to work when the gunmen opened fire, killing the five [and] their driver," said Samim Khapalwak, a spokesman for the governor of Kandahar. The attackers fled the area after the incident and a search operation was launched by the city's police force. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
