A patient and three crew members were killed after a medical plane crashed in the US state of Nevada, the company operating the aircraft said Saturday, according to dpa. The small aeroplane took off from a regional airport in Elko, Nevada, on Friday evening to transport a heart patient to a hospital in the neighbouring state of Utah. It crashed shortly afterwards into a nearby parking lot, according to local newspaper Elko Daily Free Press. Photographs of the crash site show charred remains of the aeroplane and a burned-out car next to it in the parking lot. The company operating the flight, American Medflight, said it was "devastated" by the accident and was cooperating with US authorities to find the cause of the crash. "As an air medical family, we are mourning the loss of our crewmembers and patient," the company said on its Facebook page.
