The Arab ministerial council for water today elected Egypt as its chairman for the next two years, Iraq as Vice chairman and each of Mauritania, Jordan, Oman, Palestine and Sudan as members of the council. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Alsaood, Undersecretary of the ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, led the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meeting. The meeting, which was chaired by Sudan as current rotatory president, approved Morocco's bid to host its coming meeting in May 2017. The 3rd Arab conference on Water will be held on the fringes of the ministerial meeting under the title "Link between water, energy and food". Kuwait will host the fourth conference in 2018.
