Yemeni Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar confirmed here today that the interest of the Yemenis lies in commitment to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states' sponsored initiative, its executive mechanisms, outputs of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council Resolution no. 2216. Al-Ahmar indicated, during a meeting with some governors of provinces, that the pro-coup forces failure to abide by the cease fire agreement exposes that they are not interested in bringing about peace, proves that they want to double suffering of Yemenis and continuance to ignore UN led endeavors to put an end to the Yemeni crisis. Concluding his statement, he reiterated the political leadership of Yemen desire to bring about peace and that the Armed Forces, the People's Resistance and the Arab Coalition, that supports the legitimacy, are abiding by the UN steps.
