Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation denounced in the strongest words the military offenses launched by the Syrian regime against unarmed civilians in Halab (Aleppo), killing and injuring a number of residents in the city, including women and children. In a statement, Iyad bin Amin Madani, the Secretary General of OIC, said the insistence of the Syrian regime and its allies to continue shelling residential districts in Halab and killing innocents contradicts the simplest humanitarian principles and international law bases and could be termed as crimes against humanity and war crimes subject to international law punishment and calling on the international community to interfere to stop the air raids on the Syrian people to achieve their legitimate demands they have raised in a five-year uprising.
