A bomb went off on Friday in the northern Syrian province of Aleppo (Halab) killing one soldier, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported according to dpa. Five soldiers were wounded in the blast, the London-based group said. Opposition activists have called for protests across the country on Friday in support of Halab students who were fired on Thursday night as they participated in anti-regime demonstrations.
