Jordanian King Abdullah II on Tuesday received a phone call from British Prime Minister Theresa May, during which both leaders stressed the importance of the historic friendship relations between Jordan and the United Kingdom in various fields. The British Prime Minister stressed that the United Kingdom will continue supporting King Abdullah's efforts to achieve security and stability in the region, as well as supporting Jordan's efforts in hosting Syrian refugees and addressing terrorism and extremism, according to a Jordanian press statement. The two sides voiced the two countries' commitment to promote and enhance bilateral relations.
