President George W. Bush will meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan on February 8 in Washington, the White House announced Friday. The Jordanian monarch will be arriving from London following talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. King Abdullah's meetings with Bush and Blair will focus on the Middle East peace process following the recent victory of Hamas in the Palestinian parliamentary election. The United States "appreciates Jordan's friendship and partnership in many important areas including Iraq, the war against terrorism, and the struggle against extremism," the White House said in a statement.
