The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed pride that Islamic Sharia law is its life system and constitution which guarantees an honorable life for its citizens and a prosperous and continuous development for its country. The Kingdom also said that its vision 2030 embodies a practical guarantee of the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his prudent government of a better future for the nation and its people at all levels and that the continuing cooperation with the High Commission for Human Rights as per a memorandum of understanding sighed between them including cooperation with all mechanisms of Human Rights Council is yet another evidence of this keenness. This came in a speech delivered by the Kingdom's permanent representative to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva Faisal Trad at the opening of the UN Human Rights Council today at the 32nd round which lasts until the first of July 2016. Ambassador Trad reiterated his call to the world community to take the necessary measures to end the world's longest human rights violation in the contemporary history, citing the suffering of the Palestinian people due to the Israeli occupation of their territories for more than 60 years. He also cited Israel's systematic killings, torture, siege, destruction of properties and Al-Quds Jewdaization plan 2020. It is time that Israeli be held accountable for brutal war crimes against the Palestinian people, he said, adding that the world community's Israel-Palestinian-related several resolutions be enforced to achieve the aspirations of the Palestinian people in independence, liberty, and establishment of a sovereign independent state with Al-Quds as capital, Trad said. --More
