Ambassador Faisal bin Trad, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to the United Nations, stressed the Kingdom's commitment in protecting human rights as stated in the Islamic Shariah, confirming the Kingdom's keenness on protecting and respecting the human rights and the international agreements and treaties. In his speech before the Human Rights Council, ambassador Trad said that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is keen to achieve a steady rise in economic growth which has a positive impact on all economic and social sectors as well as the Saudi people and expatriates. "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reiterated its calls upon the international community to take measures to halt the grave Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories and to stop the Judaization of Al-Quds, Trad added, stressing the Kingdom's support to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for obtaining the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital. Ambassador Trad expressed the Kingdom's condemnation regarding Israeli storming and Jewish extremists of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
