Peace consultation talks among Yemeni political rivals, resumed here today following the Yemeni government delegation's decision to suspend their participation attributing it to a lack of seriousness of the other negotiating party. The Yemeni government and the Houthi and deposed president Ali Saleh delegations met at Bayan palace in Kuwait in the attendance of Ismail Ould Al-Sheikh Ahmed, the UN envoy for Yemen, to discuss a number of controversial issues. The day before yesterday, President of Yemen Abdurabbou Mansour Hadi announced his acceptance to have the consultations resumed in Kuwait after having received guarantees of commitment to the UN Security Council resolution No. 2216.
