Discussions at the International Islamic conference for Security and Stability, currently organized by Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) in cooperation with the Pro-Sunna Associations in Nigeria focused on the reasons behind extremism in history and the present. Under the theme "towards a better future and the responsibility of achieving security and stability", the session, attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, Secretary General of MWL, and a number of religious scholars, thinkers, intellectuals and university professors of the Islamic world, heads of Islamic centers in the African continent, discussed the relation of extremism with the ignorance of holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed's Sunnah (sayings and deeds), literature of prominent scholars in history, as well as the lack of educational curricula of good interpretation of holy Quran and genuine Hadeeth (prophet's sayings) to immune the youths against extremism. The conferees underscored the importance of educating the true Islam to the youths in a way that will be positively reflected on the international social peace as Islam is the religion of peace, social, psycho, living and economic security and whatever related to the human happiness.
