The Security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior today disclosed that an attempt to smuggle as much as 2.4 million pills of M-vitamin along the coasts of Tabuk was aborted, with traffickers fleeing at large in the sea following having been requested hands up by border guard patrols. In a statement, the spokesman said a suspect boat was approaching Magna coast in Tabuk Region on the Red Sea early last Friday. After having received fire warning by the board guard patrol, the passengers dared to throw the boat's payload, including tied bags, in the waters and escaped backwards. A search operation for the material thrown in the bottom resulted in snatching 15 bags full of 2.4 million tablets, he added. The concerned authorities opened investigation into the incident, he concluded.
