The Official Spokesman of Borders Guards, Staff Commodore Saher bin Mohammed Al-Harbi said that borders guards in Jeddah managed on Saturday 02/02/1437H to foil an attempt to smuggle more than 274 kilograms of hashish, after maritime patrol monitored and intercepted a boat while it was on its way to a coastal site. He added that the passengers on board the boat threw a number of bags of Hashish into the sea after surrounding them by the maritime patrol ; and four people of Yemeni nationality on board the boat were arrested, noting the extraction of the bags from the sea containing (274 ) kilograms and 297 grams of hashish. A Yemeni national who was waiting for them on the coast was arrested, and they were referred with their seizures to the competent authorities to complete legal procedures.
