Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water and Electricity for electricity Affairs, Dr. Saleh Al-Awaji, opened here on Tuesday evening the 5th Saudi Smart Grid 2015 Conference. During the opening speech of the conference, Dr. Awaji explained that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Grid is currently being developed and updated using the latest technologies in the electricity sector. The 2-day conference includes 8 sessions in which a number of specialists and experts will participate. On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition will be held with the participation of a number of major international companies specialized in the smart grid technologies and renewable energy sources.
