It was followed by a press conference held by late Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, in the attendance of the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani noting that the leaders of the GCC have expressed welcome of late King Abdullah's proposal to move from the phase of cooperation to the phase of unity and, to this effect, they agreed to form a panel including three members from each country to study all aspects of the proposal, and saying that the step would push the GCC march in the anticipated future as per the GCC statute which states that the objective of each member country is to achieve complete coordination, integrity and interrelation of all countries in all fields to reach their unity.
