Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi, Minister of Culture and Information, stressed that among the highest responsibilities of the Culture Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is to build Islamic conscious culture and stand firmly against terrorism and violence. In his speech during the opening session of the 21st meeting of the GCC Ministers of Culture in Doha today, Dr. Al-Toraifi said that "the culture is a main configuration for our GCC peoples and we are also concerned to build human which is the main goal." "Since more than thirty years in 1981, the GCC General Secretariat was established. This ancient institution aims to achieve the goals the GCC leaders in order to serve the citizens of these countries because they believe that the GCC states are one entity," Al-Toraifi added. "We gather today as the GCC ministers of culture to complete what have been started by the GCC leaders.
