Arab Information Ministers Council adopted at the end of the 46th regular session of the work, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo on the theme "Role of the Media in Spreading the Values of Tolerance and the Fight Against Extremism," presented by the United Arab Emirates. The Saudi delegation was headed by Minister of culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi. The council assured the importance of media role in fighting extremism, in the frame of comprehensive media strategy that employs traditional and new media tools to build public opinion in support of tolerance in practice and theory on the level of individuals and communities.
