Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh met here today with France's Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius. During the meeting, they discussed the Jordanian-French ties as well as efforts to revive peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis, apart from discussing other issues affecting the region, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. Talks also covered the strategic partnership between the two countries, the continued cooperation and coordination on issues of common interest as well as the Palestinian issue. Judeh reiterated Jordan's support to efforts aimed at re-launching peace negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as per the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the international terms of reference as well as the Arab Peace Initiative. Judeh and Fabius also discussed international efforts to fight terrorism and extremism that threaten the whole world.
