The International Islamic Relief Organization of the Muslim World League has conducted surgeries to remove cataracts from the eyes of 586 patients in the city Butlam in Sri Lanka, distributed 600 eyeglasses among patients and examined 1850 other patients and sick who flocked to the medical camp, which was established by the Organization specifically for this purpose in the context of its campaign against blindness and restoration of vision to the poor and needy in many poor countries in Asia and Africa. The Secretary General of the Organization, Ihsan bin Saleh Tayib, said that all surgical operations have been successful, noting that the beneficiaries have expressed their pleasure and deep gratitude for the body and specialists from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
