The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) of Muslim World League has provided medical services for poor and needy people in the city of Accra in Ghana. The Organization's Secretary General Ihsan bin Saleh Tayyib pointed out that the health services included conducting (189) surgeries to remove cataracts from eyes, distributing (850) medical eyeglasses, and planting eye-lenses for (188) patients, noting that these services come within the framework of the efforts made by the Organization to combat the phenomenon of blindness in some poor countries.
