Deputy Minister of Culture and Information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Jasser, has stressed the need to implement the resolutions issued by the Arab Information Ministers over the past years and activate them particularly with regard to the Arab Media Strategy on Anti-Terrorism prepared by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. He has also asserted the need to develop appropriate mechanisms for the implementation of this strategy through executive plans to address religious hyperbole, terrorism and extremist ideas. In a speech delivered while his chairmanship of the work of the third regular session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information held in the Arab League headquarters here, Dr. Al-Jasser called on activating the Arab Media Honor Charter and the application of its contents to confront the challenges and dangers that surround the area. He also urged the support of the Arab States Broadcasting Union as a technical arm of the Joint Arab Media Action, pointing out that establishing the union earlier would open the field before the private sector to join the Union in the audiovisual field.
