The Asian-African Summit for 2015 started its works in Jakarta today in the presence of 34 heads of state and premiers of Asian and African countries. On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the summit was headed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani. Indonesian President Joko Widodo stressed in his opening speech the need for the establishment of a free Palestinian state and ending of its occupation, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between Asian and African countries, especially in economic spheres.
