Militants stormed a police station in India's insurgency-torn Jammu and Kashmir state on Friday, killing three security personnel and a civilian, officials said. According to dpa, two of the rebels were also killed in a five-hour long gunbattle in the Kathua district in Jammu district, the region's police chief Danish Rana said. The militants, wearing army fatigues, entered the police station 15 kilometres from the border with Pakistan, opened fire and lobbed grenades. Reports said the militants took an autorickshaw to the police station and killed the driver when they launched the attack. Ten people, mostly officers of the police and the special Central Reserve Police Force, were also injured.
