Three militants in army fatigues opened fire at a vehicle in Indian-administered Kashmir early Friday, killing one person and injuring three others, police said. The gunmen "intercepted a SUV, forced out the occupants and opened fire on them" at a bridge in Kathua district, dpa quoted a police officer as saying. A vehicle carrying the suspected attackers was later stopped by the army, and a gunbattle ensued, police said. Security has been stepped up at army camps and other key locations in Kathua and two nearby districts.
