Four separatist rebels and a soldier were killed in a gunbattle in India-administered Kashmir, officials said on Saturday. The combat took place in the Reasi district, about 150 kilometres north-west of Jammu, the state's winter capital on Friday, dpa quoted an army spokesman as saying. "The gunbattle began after the militants, spotted by the forces, lobbed hand-grenades and opened heavy fire from automatic weapons," Brigadier General Gurdeep Singh told reporters.
