Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) today expressed the rejection of the GCC countries of any foreign interference in any of the members' domestic affairs. In response to statements and remarks issued by the Iranian foreign ministry on investigations being held by Bahrain with an official of Al-Wifaq Association, depicting the move as a rejected inference in the domestic affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Furthermore, Al-Zayani said the ongoing investigation in Bahrain is based on laws and regulations enacted in Bahrain since long without exception, confirming the fairness and efficiency of the judicial authorities in Bahrain.
