Secretary General of the Riyadh-based Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani said the GCC policy emanates from the respect of sovereignty and stability of neighboring countries and no interference in their domestic affairs, noting that those two principles are not an extraordinary matter of the GCC foreign policy but basic pillars of its building. In a speech at the International Forum, organized by the Gulf Center for Research of the University of Cambridge in Britain, Al-Zayani said the GCC countries acknowledge their responsibilities towards securing the stability and security of the region, noting that the main pillar of this policy is the rejection of all forms of violence, accreditation of the language of dialogue to solve dispute and the recognition of cultural and religious differences.
