The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has condemned the statements of Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs on the Kingdom of Bahrain, describing the statements as unacceptable and disgraceful intervention in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its citizens. Dr. Al-Zayani noted that the statements contain blatant threats and dangerous behavior contrary to all international laws and principles. The Secretary General expressed his regret for the continuation of Iranian officials in the systematic interference in the affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab countries, calling on them to stop the policy of political, religious and media instigation and the destabilization of the region, and stressing that this approach does not serve Iran's relations with GCC States.
