The council of ministers was briefed on a report on the humanitarian contributions of the Kingdom in providing assistance through several programs, committees and food, shelter, medical, educational and developmental relief campaigns to provide aid to the affected peoples in the brotherly countries and alleviate their sufferings, commending in this regard the order by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to provide food assistance to the Republic of Yemen with an estimated cost of fifty four million dollars and the signing of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian people a joint cooperation agreement with World Food Programme to provide food aid to the brothers in the West Bank including 122,000 beneficiaries who suffer from lack of necessary food. On local affairs, the cabinet thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his order to provide SR358.399 million urgent help for families covered by social security in the northern regions of the kingdom to cope with the cold wave. The cabinet commended the achievements of the security services in following up groups which have divergent intellectual loyalties and one unifying factor, terrorism, and which are supported by those haters whose hopes of undermining the country's security and stability have been disappointed by Allah's grace. The security and field follow-up resulted in the arrest of 135 defendants who are guilty of going out to the conflict areas, joining terrorist organizations and then returning to the homeland to carry out acts of sabotage that would undermine security.
