The Saudi charge d'Affaires in Amman Dr. Hamad Al-Hajri said today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has, since the outbreak of the humane crisis in Syria which led to the displacement and border-crossing flow of hundreds of thousands into neighboring countries, embarked on an intensive and orchestrated program of relief assistance to the Syrian displaced in Jordan. He said the aid includes material relief items, like food baskets, tents, blankets, ready-made homes and matresses. Following the deteriorating climate circumstances in Jordan two weeks ago, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques instructed the concerned authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arbaia to provide urgent relief items to Syrian refugees in Jordanian camps, including food baskets, ready-made homes, tents, blankets, mattresses and sleeping bags, Al-Hajri said. He added that Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, also supervised the implementation of the urgent royal order, noting that accordingly as many as 181 trucks laden with relief items for the Syrian refugees arrived in Jordan, noting that the Saudi embassy in Amman managed to deliver the relief metrials to the needy beneficiaries in the utmost speed.
