U.S. President Barack Obama received here today Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, currently on an official visit to the United States at an invitation of the U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hegel. Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the president, who, for his part, sent cordial greetings and appreciation of the President to the King. President Obama welcomed the visit of Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz within the framework attached to the two friendly countries based on historical, firm and close relations at all levels. The reception was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. In press remarks following the meeting, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz expressed happiness to meet President Obama, describing the meeting as cordial. He said he felt that President Obama is full of respect and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the special relations binding the two countries at all political, economic and military levels. He said President Obama showed understanding to all issues that pertain to the region and voiced identity of points of views in a way that goes the whole way to guarantee the achievement of peace, security and stability for all. Prince Miteb added that President Obama also expressed keenness to achieve suability in the Middle East and fight terrorism wherever it was. He said the Saudi U.S. position is part of the international position keen to alleviate the sufferings of the Syrian people and achieve their right in self determination, the stability in Iraq and Yemen through solving all the problems that derail the process of stability in those countries politically and security wise.
