Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense received at the Royal Court at Al-Yamamah palace here today U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his accompanying delegation. The Crown Prince welcomed them, wishing them a pleasant stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The U.S. Secretary of State expressed his happiness over visiting the Kingdom and his meeting with the Crown Prince and a number of senior officials, emphasizing deep-rooted and friendly relations between the two countries. Secretary Kerry conveyed to the Crown Prince the greetings and appreciation of President Barack Obama of the United States of America to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. For his part, the Crown Prince sent his greetings and appreciation of the U.S. President. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, ways of enhancing them, the latest developments at the regional and international arenas, and the positions of the two countries towards them. The audience was attended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chief of the Court of Crown Prince and His Special Adviser; and Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. On the U.S. side, it was attended by U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia James B. Smith; Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Beth Jones; Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon; and Deputy Chief of Staff Bill Danvers.
