Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, met here today with U.S. Secretary of Defense Chack Hegel and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. The Crown Prince welcomed the secretary and the accompanying delegation, wishing them good stay in the Kingdom. For his part, Hegel expressed pleasure on visiting the Kingdom and meeting the Crown Prince. He also conveyed greeting and regards of the U.S. President Barack Obama. In turn, the Crown Prince sent his greetings and regards to the U.S. president. Then, the two sides held a meeting and discussed aspects of existing bilateral relations between the two friendly nations and means to promote and enhance them, in addition to the latest regional as well as international developments. The meeting was attended by Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Minister of Defense; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, the Head of the Crown Prince Court and the Special Advisor of the Crown Prince; Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; Gen. Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qubail, the Chief of the General Staff, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ayesh, Advisor to the Minister of Defense; and other senior, civil and military protocol officials.
