The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace here today the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon and the accompanying delegation. At the outset of the audience, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the U.N. Secretary General, hoping that he had spent a good time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For his part, the U.N. Secretary General expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the warm welcome and hospitality he received during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting addressed international efforts to combat terrorism under the umbrella of the United Nations. Ban praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in this regard, expressing thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his patronage of the Meeting of the Advisory Board of United Nations Counter Terrorism Center held in Jeddah. The meeting also discussed the developments at regional and international arenas, and reviewed the efforts to achieve peace and stop bloodshed in Syria. The audience was attended by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense; Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, Commander of the National Guard; Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mualami.
