AlHijjah 27, 1435, October 21, 2014, SPA -- The Saudi embassy in Washington and the Consulate General in Los Angeles were closely following up the incident of Abdullah bin Abdullatif Al-Qadhi, a Saudi student on scholarship in Los Angeles who went missing, till he was confirmed killed. In a press statement in Los Angeles, the Consulate General said it has received instructions of the prudent leadership of the Kingdom conveyed to it through His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, urging everybody to exert utmost effort with the local security authorities at all levels together with the Saudi embassy in Washington as His Excellency the Saudi ambassador was also sparing no effort to reach the facts about this case in cooperation with security authorities in Washington. The statement pointed that Los Angeles police and the Federal Bureau for Investigations (FBI) have also exerted efforts culminated with the arrest of the culprit who carried out the crime. In this regard, justice and security measures are currently underway, the statement went on to say. The Consulate General disclosed that it has appointed an advocator in Los Angeles in coordination with the family of the defunct to follow up the case together with the prosecutor general in charge of the case. Both the Saudi embassy in Washington and the Consulate General in Los Angeles condoled the deceased and extended warm condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, the Deputy Crown Prince, the parents of the deceased and his extended family, appealing to Allah Almighty to accept him. In its statement, the Consulate General confirmed the keenness and care of the Foreign Minister who instructed the ministry's authorities concerned to continue following up the deceased case until the culprit was given the deserved penalty.
