Visiting Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today briefed the press in Pakistan on the purpose of his current, saying that he was instructed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to extend our generous hands and meet the distress of the Pakistani brethren, appeal the mercy of Allah Almighty for the deceased and wish the injured quick recovery. In a press statement following his visits to the Military Hospital in the city of Muzaffarabad in Kashmir state of Pakistan and the Saudi field hospital in the city of Ministira, Prince Ahmed said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people are keen to exert every effort to provide assistance for their brethren in Pakistan in general and the quake-hit areas in particular. He said all the officials in Pakistan paid tribute to the Saudi relief officials, gearing forward for more assistance as is the custom of the leadership and people of the Kingdom. He confirmed that Pakistan enjoys a special interest by the Saudi Arabians, vowing that the current relief air and sea lifts will continue over the coming days. --More 2301 Local Time 2001 GMT
