Security Spokesman: Border Guard foil Attempt to Smuggle 149.3 kg of Hashish into Saudi Arabia

AlQa'dah 24, 1435, Sep 19, 2014, SPA -- The Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior has said in a statement that Border Guard Patrols in Jazan Region managed last Monday to foil an attempt to smuggle 149.3 of Hashish into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
After being monitored crossing the Saudi border illegally, the smugglers started firing machine guns and the Border Guard Patrol responded accordingly. The fire exchange resulted in injuring three smugglers; one of them died while being transported to the hospital.
The Border Guard Patrol combed the site and found 129.3 kg of Hashish, in addition to 20 kg of Hashish that was seized in possession of the three injured.
