The Official Spokesman of Directorate General of Border Guard stated that while a patrol in Jazan Region was tracking down a number of drug traffickers who have infiltrated illegally across the border into Saudi territories yesterday, the smugglers fired at the patrol using a machine gun. The patrol returned the fire, an exchange that led to the killing of one smuggler and the arrest of another, as well as the martyrdom of First Private Yahya Hamad Ali Sa'an. The Spokesman also noted the seizure of 37.5 kg of hashish, a machine gun, and 47 gun shots.
