GCC ministers approve municipal prize, city beautification guidebook

AlQa'dah 23, 1435, Sep 18, 2014, SPA -- The 18th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) municipal affairs ministers have endorsed bylaw of a municipal work prize and the municipal guidebook for beautification of the bloc's cities and municipalities, said Kuwaiti Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of Communications Essa Ahmad Al-Kandari.
The GCC ministers wound up their three-day meeting here on Thursday.
According to KUNA, participants also approved recommendations by specialized municipal workshops on exchange of expertise in fields of cleanliness, waste recycling and surveying, the Minister said in a statement following the meeting.
He also appreciated the approval of recommendations by a specialized technical team on establishing a website for the "rules of municipal data" by the private sector.
