-based Al-Hejaz Railway Museum contains many archaeological stones and artifacts that dated back to pre-Islam and the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions, and it is considered as one of the most prominent museums carried out by Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities in Madinah region. In 1419, the Commission in collaboration with the Principality of Madinah region has rehabilitated the building to take advantage of it as a prominent tourism milestone displaying archaeological and historical tools and artifacts; while its yard is used to hold festivals that attract citizens and visitors to the city of Prophet Muhammad( peace be upon him). The museum is located in Al-Anbariyyah street, near the Prophet's Mosque, including the buildings of Hejaz Railway Station, which was restored and rehabilitated to tell the story of the past ages until the present era, in addition to displaying ancient manuscripts written during the reign of late founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud (May Allah bestow mercy upon his soul). The building includes halls of temporary exhibitions, a hall for lectures and visual presentation, artisan market, museum store, popular cafe, and the train restaurant comprising of 12 carriages rehabilitated to be utilized as families restaurants.
