Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned a car-bomb attack Wednesday on a U.N. camp in Mali that resulted in the death of four peacekeepers from Chad. The attack on the Aguelhok camp of the U.N. Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) also injured six peacekeepers and several soldiers from the Mali army. "This attack will not diminish the resolve of the United Nations to support the Malian people in their efforts to achieve peace and stability for all of Mali," Ban's spokesman said in a statement late Wednesday. "The secretary-general calls on all parties not to be deterred by spoilers who, through their criminal acts, seek to prevent the establishment of a sustainable peace in Mali."
