Some 1,707 Syrians fleeing the conflict in their country have crossed into Jordan over the past 72 hours, according to an official source at the General Command Headquarters of the Jordanian Armed Forces. The source said border guards received the refugees, who had entered through various illegal points along the frontier, and provided emergency aid to a number of injured people at temporary accommodation centers before moving them to refugee camps, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
