A total of 12,186 Syrian refugees have entered Jordan since the beginning of this week till Thursday morning, according to a Jordanian military source. The source said the illegal entry of refugees, who entered from a number of crossing points, included 43 wounded persons. The source added that 2,450 refugees have crossed the borders in the past 24 hours, pointing out that most of the refugees represent entire families. The Jordanian troops, mainly border guards stationed along the 370-kilometre border between Jordan and Syria, assisted the incoming refugees and provided emergency aid to the injured before sending them to the refugee camps, Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted the source as saying.
