The unemployment rate in the eurozone held steady in February at 11.9 per cent for the fourth consecutive month, despite the numbers of those out of work edging down during the month, dpa cited data released Tuesday as showing. The seasonally adjusted monthly numbers of those without work fell by 35,000 to 18.965 million in February, the European Union statistics office Eurostat said. The data was in line with analysts' forecasts and comes amid signs of a tentative recovery in the 18-member eurozone's fragile economy. The unemployment rate in the 28-member EU slipped to 10.6 per cent in February, from 10.7 per cent in January, Eurostat said.
