Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil Al-Araby held a joint press conference on the outcome of the 25th ordinary Arab summit hosted by Kuwait and lasted for two days. Al-Sabah said the summit has crystalized a comprehensive vision for ways to enhance Arab solidarity. He highlighed the speech delivered by Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jabber Al-Sabah at the opening ceremony of the Arab summit which focused on the importance of bolstering Arab-Arab ties to ensure a prosperous future for coming generation. Sheikh Sabah also stressed that the Arab World faces a number of issues which have to be addressed promptly on top of which is the crisis in Syria, warning at the same time that it poses a direct threat to regional security and stability. Sheikh Sabah and Dr. Nabil Al Araby also highlighted that Palestine continues to take precedence on the Arab agenda, adding that Arab states strongly stand by the Palestinians in their endeavors to set up an independent state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital.
