The Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in Geneva yesterday in the consultative meeting of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States for the coordination of their positions. During the meeting, they agreed to support Pakistani Candidate Shazia Rafi or Cameroonian Candidate Martin Shoong for the post of new SecretaryGeneral of Inter-Parliamentary Union, succeeding the current Secretary General Anders Johnson. They also agreed to support the emergency item submitted by Morocco to the General Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union concerning the support for peace and security in Central Africa.
