A total of 383 Syrian refugees, mostly women, children and the elderly, entered Jordan through various border points during the past 24 hours. The Directorate of Moral Guidance said in a statement on Tuesday that border guards stationed along the border between Jordan and Syria received the refugees and provided emergency aid to the injured before being transferred to the Zaatari Refugee Camp. The number of Syrian refugees who crossed into Jordan since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in March 2011 has exceeded 600,000 including thousands of injured and sick, Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted the statement as saying.
